Dimanche 2 decembre: Mon ventre bouge...

Depuis quelques jours, je peux sentir les coups de pied et de poings en posant ma main sur mon ventre. J'adore! J'ai hate de pouvoir faire sentir a Charlie mais pour le moment notre bebe fait son timide pour son papa.

For the last few days, I have been able to feel the baby kick when I put my hands on my belly. It's amazing. I would love to share with Charlie, but for now, our baby is being shy with his dad.

Week-end de Thanksgiving

Nous travaillons a ranger et redecorer la 2e chambre. Toutes nos affaires doivent disparaitre pour laisser la place pour les affaires du bebe. Il y a du travail mais cela commence a prendre forme.

We are cleaning and redecorating the second bedroom. All our stuff have to go to make some space for the baby's things. There is a lot of work but things are coming along.

Mardi 23 octobre: C'est un garcon

Premiere et importante nouvelle: C'est un garcon!!!
Pas de doute possible et il nous fait le grand show pour l'echographie. Il a beaucoup grandi depuis la derniere echo mais les images sont toujours aussi emouvantes.
L'accouchement est prevu le 26 mars 2008.

First news: It's a boy. No doubt about it and he is giving a great show during the ultrasound. He grew up a lot since the last ultrasound but the pictures are still very impressive.
The due date is re-estimated for March 26th, 2007.

Samedi 13 octobre: Les premiers coups

Pendant que nous etions au cinema (Darjeeling limited), je pense que j'ai senti le bebe bouger. Ca fait comme du pop corn, tres doucement. Rien d'aussi impressionant que la photo mais tres important et emouvant pour moi. J'attends avec impatience que cela se reproduise pour etre sure.

While we were in the theater (Darjeeling limited) I felt the baby kicking for the first time, like some little popcorn. So subtle I was not a 100% sure and wished it happened again to be sure.

Mardi 18 septembre: Echographie du 1er trimestre

Vendredi 14 et Samedi 15 septembre

Ce week-end, nous annoncons la nouvelle aux futurs grands-parents. Helen en perd la parole pour quelques secondes et Michele et Philippe sont tres contents pour nous. Ma maman me raconte quelques histoires quand Frederic et moi etions bebes.
Les symptomes du premier trimestre sont maintenant de l'histoire ancienne. Hourrah!

This week end, we are sharing the big news with the grand-parents. Helen is speechless for a few seconds and Michele and Philippe are really happy for us.
The first trimester symptoms are now a thing of the past, Hurray!

Samedi 11 aout 2007: The profile pictures

Je commence la serie des photos de profile. Le projet; prendre une photo de moi de profil chaque semaine.
Tous les symptomes du premier trimestre sont la: nausee, fatigue, mal au dos, aigreurs d'estomac, difficulte a dormir. Ouille ouille ouille.

I start a series of pictures. The project is to take a picture of me every week throughout pregnancy.

Samedi 21 Juillet: Grande Nouvelle

Ce matin je fais le test de grossesse et le resultat est...positif.
Charlie et moi sommes un peu incredules, nous ne pensions pas que cela arriverait aussi rapidement.
Nous voila partis pour la grande aventure.

This morning, I did the pregnancy test and it is...positif.
We are a little surprised because we didn't think it would happen so quickly. Now we are ON for the big adventure.
